About Ayisha
I joined the Geospatial Systems CDT in September 2023 as a member of cohort five in Nottingham. My academic background is in Mathematics, Computer Science and Data Analytics, providing me with a strong foundation in quantitative analysis, programming and data-driven problem-solving. I also hold a PGCE in Secondary Mathematics and have worked across education, management and higher education, including as an associate lecturer. As a nursery manager, I led a setting that had remained at a Satisfactory Ofsted rating for 14 years to achieve a Good rating within my first six months in the role.
My research interests lie at the intersection of geospatial data science, housing and urban analysis. My current PhD research uses large-scale property and neighbourhood datasets alongside spatial analysis and machine-learning methods to identify housing submarkets across England and Wales. Ultimately, I aim to develop a geo-intelligent approach that improves understanding of housing-market structures beyond conventional administrative boundaries.
